He and his wife, Robyn, operate Mega Agency Marketing at AgencyUpdates.com, helping hundreds of insurance agents generate leads and grow their agency through social media marketing.

"Litigation and Legal Issues Affecting the Allstate Agency Owner"
Dirk Beamer has served the National Association of Professional Allstate Agents (“NAPAA”) as General Counsel since 1999. In that capacity, he has successfully defended NAPAA against a federal internet trespass case brought by Allstate. He also sued Allstate on behalf of NAPAA and its members in a highly publicized federal lawsuit challenging Allstate’s treatment of its agents. In addition to litigation matters, Dirk regularly counsels NAPAA concerning its ongoing business affairs including contract negotiations, management and employment issues, and member concerns. Dirk provides similar services as General Counsel to The United Farmers Agents Association (“UFAA”).
Dirk regularly works with captive insurance agents from across the country, as well as their local attorneys, to handle business issues including purchasing and selling books of business, investigations and disciplinary proceedings with the carrier, employment law and contract litigation.
Dirk graduated from the University of Michigan Law School with honors in 1993. He is licensed to practice in Michigan and Ohio, and he is a member of the State of Michigan Bar Foundation – an honor reserved for less than 5% of the practicing bar in the state. In 2014, Super Lawyers magazine named Dirk one of the Top 50 business lawyers in the state of Michigan. He is a past recipient of the National Association of Professional Allstate Agents President’s Award.
ED GALLATIN, CPA
"Your Tax Solution"
H. Edward Gallatin (Ed) sees himself as the CPA for the small business owner. His own experience with the IRS as a small business owner has influenced his career path as a representative for small business owners against the IRS and as an educator at Indiana State University teaching students about accounting.
Ed is passionate about helping small business owners because of his own traumatic experience of dealing with the Internal Revenue Service for alleged irregularities. Because of unusual deposits around one of the biggest events in his community, Ed was subjected to an extremely invasive audit including review of business records, personal records, and his parent's personal records. After ninety days of being "under the microscope" no discrepancies and no taxed owed.
After this experience, Ed was committed to his education completing his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his MBA at Indiana State University. He continued his education earning Certified Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS) designation. This certification is awarded to individuals who have met the educational, experience, and examination requirements prescribed by American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS). The CTRS designation is restricted to Enrolled Agent, CPA or Attorney who have proven expertise to resolve a wide range of tax problems.
As a lifelong resident of the Wabash Valley, Ed is dedicated to the entrepreneurial spirit by helping others start their businesses. He also shares his passion and expertise to Indiana State University students by teaching accounting and finance courses and advising a real estate team. Ed is also active in the community and available to speak to groups on the subjects of personal finance and tax strategies.

Tricia A. McLaurin has worked in the Human Resources field for over 20 years. Tricia started her career in Human Resources at Cablevisions Systems Corporation in Long Island while attending college. Tricia obtained her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, New York. She obtained her Masters of Art in Christian Leadership & Management in May 2016, and is currently pursuing an additional Master’s Degree in Human Resources. In January 2019, Tricia celebrated her 15th year Anniversary with Paychex Inc. and currently holds the title of HR Consultant where she supports her small-medium business clients with their daily HR needs. Tricia is a proud member of the Society for Human Resource Management, and is a prolific speaker who appreciates the opportunity to encourage, empower, and excite people with word presentation. Tricia has been privileged to participate as a presenter nationally at the SCORE Small Biz Virtual Conference, SCORE Leadership Conference, Annual Gaming Conference, & the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Leadership Conference, to name a few. Her motto is, “Humans are the Best Resources.”
BILL GOUGH, BGI
"Learn the Systems and Processes of the Top Producing Insurance Agency Owners"
Bill started his career with Allstate Insurance in 1984 working in a booth at the Sears Department store in Florence, AL. Fortunately for him; he had an outstanding manager (who he now realizes was his first mentor and coach) who got him off to a great start. She was instrumental in guiding him to win Rookie of the Year and many awards in his first two years working for Allstate.
Then one day, Bill looked up and saw that his mentor had started her climb up the corporate ladder. He now had just a manager, who was a nice guy but not much help. During this time period he got divorced and started living the “single life”. Somehow he managed to keep his job during that time.
In 1990 Bill started working harder and focusing more on his business. This was due in full to him meeting Vanessa, his wife. Then something happened in 2000... Allstate changed things. He was no longer an employee. He was now an independent contractor – a true business owner – and had to change his mind set and how he ran his business.
Bill was winning awards and going on reward trips due to the success he was having in his agencies. When he attended Leader’s Forums & Chairman’s Conferences, Bill started hanging out with the Top 5% of Allstate Agents. The only thing he was focusing on every day was how to become a better agent and grow his business.
Bill realized he needed more balance in his life and he started getting coaching from people in the small business world. After all, that’s what he was... a small business owner who owned an insurance agency. This was a breakthrough moment for Bill, and many successes followed for many years.
On January 1, 2007, tragedy struck Bill’s life in an unimaginable way. He lost his son, Bill Gough III, in a drowning accident while on a family vacation. In the aftermath of this event, Bill decided to create a legacy for his son so his name would live on forever, founding the William M. Gough III Charitable Fund in his memory.
Bill had always enjoyed helping other Agency Owners, and he wanted to do something to give back. This is why he founded BGI Systems in 2008... to help other agency owners achieve and exceed the same success that he experienced over his 28 year career.
A portion of every dollar that comes through BGI goes straight into the William M. Gough III Charitable Fund. This fund has helped nearly 500 organizations and individuals get a step closer to achieving their goals. Bill’s goal is to pledge and donate $1 million in his son’s honor. We are over 3/4 of the way there today!
BGI Systems currently helps hundreds of Insurance Agency Owners across the country by teaching the real-world proven systems and processes, which helped Bill’s agency get into the coveted Allstate Hall of Fame, through their Done-For-You Services and Coaching Programs.

Lezlee Liljenberg began her career with Allstate as a scratch agency in June 2004. On a fast path for growth, she purchased an agency of 1600 policies in January of 2007 doubling her agency size and adding the responsibility of a satellite office. Lezlee lives her life to give back to others, and believes that loyalty and trust are the foundation to mutual respect and success for everyone. Her motto is "Knowledge is Power" and consistently pursues her own personal growth. She also encourages her staff, and those around her, to learn all they can to in order to live the best life possible. God is her guide and she gives her credit of success and happiness to Him. Lezlee is a regular contributor to the Exclusivefocus magazine and creator of the "Ask Lezlee" column in that publication.
Ted began his thirty-year career in insurance at Farmers Insurance. There, in his 18 years as a district manager, he personally recruited and trained over 50 scratch agencies. When Ted left Farmers in 2005, his district was the largest in the Indianapolis area and the third largest in the state of Indiana. He continued his insurance career at Allstate, where he owned two agencies in west-central Indiana. While at Allstate, Ted served on the North Central Regional Advisory Board, and earned numerous awards including the Chairman’s Award, the Leader’s Club Award, the National Conference Award and many Honor Rings. He has been the Executive Director for NAPAA since 2017.
