The National Association of Professional Allstate Agents (NAPAA) is pleased to announce the availability of a complimentary, three-hour Ethics CE webinar course for all NAPAA members, Allstate agents and licensed staff members. The course will be offered via live webinar on July 11, July 20 and July 26, 2022. Enrollments are now being accepted at https://www.insurancecareertraining.com/pages/napaa-free-ce. The course is available for free to any licensed producer who enrolls with an Allstate e-mail address.
“We are excited to offer this CE opportunity to our members and associates,” said Ted Paris, NAPAA Executive Director. The classes are being presented by Insurance Career Training, Inc. of Indianapolis, Indiana, an industry leader in webinar CE. “I’ve know Rick Weston and the people at ICT for many years. They have a great system and curriculum and will take good care of our members.”
Through its Direct CE® online webinar program, ICT offers approximately 700 CE course sessions per year via live webinar. Students are provided a webinar link upon registration, join their class before class time, and must stay connected to the class and answer periodic roll calls to receive CE credit. ICT reports the CE credits to the producer’s state insurance department and forwards each producer a certificate of completion via e-mail within one business day.
The upcoming free course is “Ethical Conduct & Suitability.” This course outlines the story of Glenn Neasham, a highly successful California insurance agent who several years ago became the first insurance agent in the United States to be criminally charged based on sales practices to an elderly client. The case sent shock waves through the insurance industry as Glenn’s case worked its way through the legal system. Glenn suffered severe losses to his business, home, family and reputation during the process.
The course is approved for CE credit in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and meets the three-hour Ethics CE requirements found in most states, or will count for general CE credit. The usual cost of the course is $33, but the course is being provided at no charge by NAPAA and ICT.
Rick Weston, Director of CE Events for ICT, said if the free course opportunity is well-received, ICT plans to offer a series of discounted CE courses to NAPAA members and associates starting later in the year. “We look forward to seeing our NAPAA friends for the free courses in July and hope this begins a long and mutually-beneficial relationship between NAPAA and ICT.”
The course is being offered on three different dates to accommodate the schedules of as many people as possible; however, each producer may only receive CE credit once for the course and should only enroll in one session.
